TSC 2025/04/17 (Pushdown Queries)
EdgeLake: Pushdown Functionality
📅 Date: Thursday, Apr 17, 2025
⏰ Time: 8 AM PT
Description:
In this TSC session, we will focus on one of the core capabilities of EdgeLake – pushdown processing – and how it enables local data queries and analytics at the edge while providing seamless integration with cloud-based applications.
The pushdown functionality allows external systems to delegate the query execution directly to edge nodes, dramatically reducing latency, cloud dependency, and infrastructure cost.
We will demonstrate how EdgeLake serves as a virtual, federated data platform, enabling real-time query access to distributed edge data while presenting a unified interface to cloud-based analytics and applications.
Join us as we walk through practical use cases and demos illustrating:
Real-time dashboards using Grafana and PowerBI
Qlik in the cloud accessing data at the Edge
Using EdgeLake as the foundational data platform for cloud processes and applications
