Date: 8 AM PT

Agenda - EdgeLake integration with Open Horizon to query data, manage resources and deploy software at the distributed edge, from a single point.

To treat the edge as the primary data platform, three main functionalities are required:

  1. Unified Data View: Viewing distributed data as a centralized collection.
  2. Centralized Resource Management: Managing distributed resources (such as edge nodes, servers, gateways, switches, and sensors) from a single point.
  3. Software Orchestration and Deployment: Orchestrating and deploying edge software from a single point.

EdgeLake provides functionalities 1 and 2.
Functionality 3 is achieved by integrating EdgeLake with Open Horizon.

Integrating with Open Horizon enables the edge to function as a virtual cloud.

This meeting will feature a live demo showcasing the deployment of EdgeLake instances using Open Horizon.

The agenda includes:

  • Description of patterns
  • Demo (CLI)
  • Q&A
