Backporting

If an older LTS release is still supported, we back port:

  • bugfixes

  • tools which have been necessary to debug issues in the field or might become useful in the future

Kernel

We update the Linux kernel once every 12 months since the kernel team does an LTS about every 12 months. See Project EVE Policy for updating EVE kernel
